Experience Leadership

The Olympus DAO Transparency page serves as a public hub for the community to access key governance and protocol information, showcasing verified data such as total holders, active votes on improvement proposals, and participation metrics, alongside links to quarterly reports, policy documents, governance processes, and treasury dashboards — all to ensure the protocol’s operations, decisions, and financials are openly available and verifiable by anyone interested in following or engaging with the DAO.

Challenge

Olympus DAO set out to build a decentralised reserve currency, OHM, backed by real assets in its treasury rather than a peg to the dollar. Its holders govern the protocol on-chain, voting on how the treasury is managed, how policy changes and what gets built next. For that model to work, the community has to be able to see and verify everything for themselves. But the information people needed was hard to reach and harder to understand. Quarterly reports, policy documents, governance processes, improvement proposals and treasury dashboards were spread across different places, and concepts like bonding, staking and protocol-owned liquidity were difficult for newcomers to follow. Long-time holders and analysts wanted depth, while new members needed clarity. The challenge was to bring it all together in one public hub that proved rather than claimed: showing live, verifiable data on holders, votes and participation, linking every figure to its source, and making governance easy to follow and take part in, on any device.

Solution

I designed the Olympus Transparency page as a single public hub where anyone can see how the DAO is run, how its treasury is managed and how decisions get made, without needing to know where to look. The page opens with live, verifiable figures front and centre: the number of OHM holders (now over 120,000), plus votes cast and participants on the latest improvement proposal. It gives the community an instant picture of the protocol’s health and how actively it’s governed. Below that, everything that was scattered is brought together in clear, scannable sections. Quarterly and annual reports give regular, plain-language updates on performance. Policy reports explain how monetary policy decisions were made. A governance section shows how proposals move from forum discussion to on-chain vote, with direct links to vote. The treasury is fully open. Treasury wallets are shown publicly and link to dashboards, so anyone can follow the assets backing OHM and check them on-chain for themselves. Related links to bonding, staking, documentation, the forum and Snapshot sit alongside, turning the page from a place to read into a place to take part. The result is transparency you can verify, not just a promise of it, built responsively so the community can follow the DAO from any device. The live page lists quarterly reports and policy reports but no annual reports, and the wallets aren’t visible in the page text, probably because they’re inside the treasury dashboard. If annual reports and the wallet view were part of your design but not the live build, you could write “designed to include” for those parts, or trim them if you want this to match exactly what shipped.

Result

The Transparency page gave Olympus a clear public record of how the DAO is run and holds itself to account. Instead of trusting what the team said, anyone could now see it: how the treasury is managed, how monetary policy decisions were made and how the community voted. Policy and annual reports became easy to find and read in one place, creating an open track record over time. Each report shows what the DAO set out to do and what it delivered, so holders can judge its decisions and hold contributors responsible. Governance figures and links to the treasury showed the protocol’s health and the community’s voice in real time. For a protocol built on community ownership, this turned transparency from a promise into something people could check for themselves, strengthening trust in OHM and giving holders the confidence to take part in how it’s run. One public hub for reports, policy, governance and treasury data An open, ongoing record of policy and annual reports Live governance figures, such as 947,000+ OHM votes from 357 participants on a single proposal A community of 120,000+ holders able to verify the protocol for themselves

From our Client:

“Transparency is at the heart of Olympus, and Fox understood that from day one. He took complex treasury and protocol data and turned it into a page our community could actually read and trust. Clear, considered and built for the people who rely on it.”
